Troubleshooting an HTTP 500 error

An HTTP 500 response is a general server-side error. Start by noting the exact time, URL and action that triggered it.

  1. Check the BusinessSuiteX application log.
  2. Check the domain's PHP or web-server error log.
  3. Confirm PHP version and required extensions.
  4. Verify storage and cache directory permissions.
  5. Clear the application cache using the documented command.
  6. Temporarily disable the most recently installed extension.
  7. Confirm the database server is available and credentials have not changed.

For a support ticket, attach only the relevant log lines around the error time. Remove passwords, tokens, personal data and unrelated records.
